How it works
- Each activity is a small scoring model. Every hour gets a 0–1 rating per factor (comfort, air quality, UV, rain, wind, daylight…), multiplied together, so one bad factor rules an hour out.
- Best times are the longest-scoring stretches that are long enough for the activity: three dry, sunny hours for laundry, one for a run.
- Golden hour uses the Sun's exact position (6° above to 4° below the horizon), and stargazing waits for full darkness and the Moon to set.
- Private. Your browser asks the weather service directly; your location never touches this site's server. Precise location is only used if you tap "use my location".
- Fresh data."Right now" uses live values the weather service updates every 15 minutes; rain in the next 2 hours uses 15-minute steps. The page refetches every 10 minutes and whenever you come back to it.
- Guidance, not a guarantee: forecasts change, so check again before you head out. Air quality is the CAMS model forecast on the US AQI scale, not a reading from a street sensor, so local spots can differ.
